1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Free Online Markdown Editor, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
If you use the service on behalf of a person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for them.
2. Free service
Free Online Markdown Editor is currently 100% free, requires no registration or payment card, and has no subscription for its current features. We may improve, change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service for maintenance, security, or product development.
Using the website does not promise that every feature will always remain free or available. Important changes to price or service scope will be communicated publicly on the website.
3. Browser processing and offline use
The Editor is local-first. Your input, opened files, drafts, tabs, and settings are processed in the browser and stored on your device through IndexedDB, LocalStorage, or Session Storage. The app does not upload that content to the application server.
The PWA may cache the app shell and required libraries for offline use. Offline availability depends on your browser, device, storage permissions, cache, and whether the app was loaded or installed beforehand. Local data may be lost if you clear site data, reset the browser, remove a profile, or experience device failure.
4. User content
You retain ownership of Markdown, files, and content that you create or import. Free Online Markdown Editor does not take ownership of that content because you use the tool.
You are responsible for ensuring that content you create, open, export, or share:
- does not violate law, privacy, copyright, trademark, or another person’s legal rights;
- does not contain malware, destructive content, or data you are not authorized to process;
- is backed up appropriately if it is important or needs long-term storage.
5. Prohibited use
You may not use the service to damage the website or infrastructure, bypass security, distribute malware, commit fraud, infringe another person’s rights, or engage in unlawful activity.
You should not enter confidential information, secret keys, login credentials, or sensitive data into a device or browser you do not control.
6. Export, backup, and data loss
The app supports Markdown, HTML, Excel, PDF, and ZIP exports depending on the content and browser capabilities. Export formats may not preserve every Markdown, Mermaid, LaTeX, or HTML feature exactly.
You are responsible for checking exported files and maintaining backups. Because primary data is on your device, we cannot restore files deleted or lost through your browser, device, cache, quota, or actions.
7. Links and third parties
The website may link to GitHub, Facebook, Chợ Web3, or other websites. Those websites have their own terms and policies; we are not responsible for their content, availability, or data practices.
If your Markdown references images or resources from another domain, loading those resources may cause a third party to receive a technical request. Use only links and resources you trust.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every browser or device, or that an export will meet a particular purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Chợ Web3 is not liable for loss or damage arising from using or being unable to use the service, local data loss, device or browser errors, user content, third-party resources, or exported files. Keep copies of important documents.
10. Changes
We may update these terms when features, operations, or legal requirements change. New terms will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the service after an update may mean you accept the new version, to the extent permitted by law.
